Read on to learn about some real life Stars Hollow towns!!

I remember the first time I read about the real life inspiration for the set of Gilmore Girls. Was it true? Were there places that actually existed like Stars Hollow? Well get out your suitcases and pack up your camera because I am sharing three towns with that same kind of charm.

The first town is Washington Depot Connecticut, a scene right out of “Gilmore Girls.” If you want to visit a place that has an Inn like Lorelai’s, a diner like Luke’s, a charming bookstore and gazebo, then this is the place for you!

I was excited to see a town in Pennsylvania, since this is the state I live in, however its a four drive from my house and Washington Depot is only 3 hours so that will be the one I’m visiting! However Ligonier is absolutely breathtaking. Their gazebo is the prettiest, the town was established in the 1760s and even lays claim to a battle site during the French and Indian war, so it has the history like Star Hollow. They host a country market, have a nearby covered bridge and lots of hiking, They also have an amusement park, not that it is very Gilmore like, but still, who doesn’t love an amusement park?

Ridgefield Connecticut has its own Dragon fly Inn, an adorable book store, antique stores and plenty of museums. There is even a History Museum about the town, just like the show.

Doylestown Pennsylvania is a place I love and I was happy to hear that it reminds others of Gilmore Girls. Although this town is bigger than most, it has plenty of charm to boot. There is an art museum, plus two real life castles, Fonthill Castle and Mercer Museum and they made entirely of concrete. We go there regularly and have memberships. There are plenty of Bed and Breakfasts and the town is gorgeous and lovely. There are lots of quaint shops and restaurants to check out. I will be sure to take more pictures this coming fall to share.

Sleepy Hollow, although also a higher population is an adorable place to visit. We were just there this spring and its a place I will visit time and again. It boasts 3 mansions to tour, the graveyard where Washington Irving was buried and an adorable town with plenty of shops to visits and places to eat.

There are so many cute towns one can visit to feel like a Gilmore Girl! My bucket list is brimming with travel ideas! Have you been to any of these cute towns? Happy watching and traveling my friends.
